is there a way to limit the maximum cache memory used in windows xp sp1?
What exactly do you mean by cache memory? Are you refering to the pagefile/swapfile/virtual memory?
the phisical memory used to cache files
found it http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/55/
that page is obsolete, and that value isn't read in xp
Hehe, without clicking the link, I assume he's talking about the IOPageLockLimit thing?
If so, it has no effect on XP.
That page is still there and it has info for WinXp a little further down.
