How to force computer to lock without screen saver when idle?

    How to force computer to lock without screen saver when idle?

    I want all the computers on the network to be have this way when and if possible.

    Do you want them to lock at the same time? Typically you should be able to set the lock/shut down/hibernate in the power options.

    Create a shortcut with this path, name it whatever you want and place it in your windows directory:

    %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

    Now create a task in task scheduler that will execute when idle and run your shortcut.
