[HOW TO] fix the cdrom drive disapears in windows but can be seen in the bios.
OS: win2k pro
Machine performed on: Dell OptiPlex GX150 ~should work on all win2k machines.
Just figured this out. I had a machine that the cdrom wasent working in windows but could be seen in the bios. (2 seperate drives on same channel where doing the same thing.)
go to start/run
enter "regedit" without the "
go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Delete these variables Upperfilters and Lowerfilters
Reboot the machine and this should solve the issue.
