how to convert real audio to mp3

Streambox Ripper should do that, although I haven't tried it.

no... it's not a stream file. i downloaded real audio files and now i want to convert it to mp3, how do i do that?

You can load the ra/rm file that is on your hard disk into Streambox Ripper and convert it. I just converted a mp3 file to wav and it works, I can't test converting ra/rm files because I don't have any, but it should work. Just click the load button, navigate to the file you want to convert, click the convert button, and away you go.

then download ra codec from there all done

Best thing about db poweramp is that it is freeware & an excellent program. Now to go & download that plugin.
