How to access BIOS on a Compaq Presario Notebook

How to access the BIOS on a Compaq Presario 12XL500 notebook. I tried F1 and Del as it starts, but it doesn't seem to work.

Just as a tip as well, when you see the OEM Splash Screen, as will be a black background with capital, red-colored COMPAQ letters in this case, normally if you hit the TAB key - it will flash to an informational screen during P.O.S.T.

At that time, it will more than likely show you the key required to enter setup

I could've swore it was F2. I think my laptop is F2, too lazy to reboot to find out.

I would actually love to get rid of that boot logo but there is no option for it.

Can't you do a fast boot, or whatever it's called? Have you poked around in your BIOS for it?

I don't recall, will have another look but I doubt it.

EDIT: Rebooted

It is F2 and no there is no such option The BIOS is very limited, no advanced stuff at all.
