I do not work for BT but with BT engineers and their software developers, on occasion. I have had sometimes in the past to supervise BT projects but not in recent years. As an aside BT servers/switches are now becoming discriminative, all those using BT broadband (which is everyone in the UK using their backbone) will start dropping sites soon. You try logging on to some of the pirates sites now using BT Broadband and see what happens. Have you ever seen the old BT digital exchange “black book”? This was banned by government ten years ago or even longer, I will see if I can arrange a copy if you are interested. Of course it’s now completely out of date but never the less interesting reading for those interested in the design and implementation of the original digital exchanges and their implementation as it sets the foundation and more importantly policy to be applied in this particular communication medium from the power of the day so to speak view (I have avoided using “government” as this is one of the key words now trapped by the TCP/IP switches, in hardware), well interesting to me anyway. I left this field of technology some time ago (1990) as it was stagnant even then and does not appear to have moved on much since.
Much of my time now is taken up with issues regarding the law and it’s implications in relation to wrong doing by large corporate organisations operating in the UK. I stand for the common man and his family, not the power and glory boys.
Don't think one can anymore, though my paternal grandfather apparently did just that. When he hit a certain age, he started subtracting a year off his declared age. Oh yeah, my father was born in 1925, so in his father's case...just how good were birth records back then?
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
