Currently, I have a motherboard with 10 usb ports, a built in NIC card, and a built in soundcard. (abit IT7) Anyways, i was looking foward to adding a ati 9700, but i was wondering, how many watts does my psu need to support that type of a load (i have 2 harddrive, 5400 rpm, 1 floppy, and 1 12/10/30a plexwriter)

it all depends on how many pci slots and other devices you plan to have in your system. but why not go for a 400+ PSU to be ready for future stuff? :D

268 watt...that's maximum on the rates you gave me, so 250 watt probably should be enough i think...what would happen if i stick with this one?

and with that average i mean if the other guy his list gave something like 35-45 watts, i took 45..the maximum and then i reached 268 at max..
