ive done this like everytime i re-install XP or 2K, but for the life of me i cant remember what i change the target to in the shortcut to get it so when explorer opens it automatically goes to C: instead of My Docs....

    much appreciated....

    Static 99,
could you explain to me the difference between your post and mine. My post opens Explorer at C:, and your post opens Explorer at C:. So why post basically the same information ?

Well, because i tried the one you posted, but it didn't work.
I know it schould work, but on my pc it just doesn't.
Maybe i did something wrong, i don't know.

So, i did a Google search, and found the one i posted, wich works fine for me.

Alway's nice to have an option.

I wonder if any one else has trouble with my first post. It works for me every time.
