It pains me just to type that title up there but so help me I'm totally lost here. I just got a DVD Burner (Sony DVD RW DRU-710A). I've only played with it a little & since DL disks are too freaking expensive to use & destroy I wanted to make sure I'm right before burning. Here's my problem, I had a video file (XVID 700 megs anyone want to guess what was on it?) I wanted to convert it to an m2v file using tmpgenc (I think) but what I got was a an m2v and a wav file. From here I get lost, If l load up the m2v in WMP10 I get a high quality video with no sound (duh). If I preview it in Sonic MYDVD it plays the sound along with the video but badly out of sync. Rather than waste a disk on video with no audio or just bad audio. I thought maybe it's best to make a VOB file with canopus procoder. Well after 3 hours of work it's done. But there are only files in the Video_TS folder and nothing in the Audio_TS folder. So now I'm still worried that I'm going to waste a disk on DVD sans audio. I'm sure there are tutorials out there so I don't need a complex walk through .. just a confirmation that I wasted 3 hours writing a VOB file.
