I'm behind a gateway and I cannot connect to a server using Ident on port 113.

How do I forward a port?

Also how do I make sure a port is unblocked?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

are you personally running the proxy? or is it like a school one, is it part of your modem etc. different proxy/gateways have different methods

Well, I have a directdsl gateway. It allows me to have 1 static IP and the gateway handles the dhcp for the rest of the machines. The server that I'm trying to connect to is a server located at school running the Ident server. When I lunch my app it says that it's unable to Listen on port 113. I'm pretty sure that it's on my end because others are connecting to this server with no problems.

    Thanks for your response!!!!
