I have a pc that doesnt have an HDD, and I dont want to have to go buy one, as the PC is not that good. Is there any way I can make the PC boot from another one with an OS?

You can, I have no idea how to do it but I believe it's not a simple task. I would just go and buy a cheap HDD and save the headache.

The MB must support it and I beleive it requires a NIC (on board or add in card) with a BOOT ROM. Then there has to be a server with a boot image available.

Lot of good discussion here but nobody has actually done it:

If the MB supports it just make a bootable thumb drive. You can get 4 gig thumbs for $6. Or find a used HD.

The used HD is really the right answer. Anything else has speed or life issues. Even dumbd terminal PCs have a built in HD. The network is just too slow to work from.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
