zeke_mo, do you remember what the name of the map was that has the same section as the new map does? where there's the raised platform with the railing, and there used to be the 2 shotty's at either end i think.... can't remember what the name of that map was for HL1DM
they almost fixed "Friends" too.
There are several sections of that map that are in the old one, I cant think of the name but I know that map rather well, I will let you know if I can remember
they can create an engine that shows off physics like no other but they can't get "friends" to work!?!?!

yeah, probably not. is quite funny though. and the one thing i wish they WOULD have done with the update, they didn't do, which was retweak weapon damage. one person in the server i was playing said "all people do now is snipe, rpg spam, and try to show off their crowbar and stunstick skills". all i could say to him was.... "that's just about all you can do. most of the other weapons suck."
Anyone know if it's possible to change what slot a weapon is in? having a key bound directly to grav gun doesn't seem to work as good for my grenade madness as pressing 1 for slot 1. or to change what weapon is in what position of a certain slot?
edit: noticed this in the Planethalflife report on the update:
that mean less lag spiking from massive rpg spamming and the shotgun? hope so. kinda odd that the effects of firing your weapon use bandwidth.... but then again, Valve DID say that most of the multiplayer aspects of HL2 are handled client side.
I think EP is still on my friends list... I'll be hunting him down when I have time to play on CS.
I have little time for games at the moment.
no worries... i have tonnes of assignments and revision to get on with until May.
