Hiding Inactive Start Menu Items

In Win2000 the least used Start Menu items were automatically hidden by default. How do I achieve the same in WindowsXP? I think I am missing something really obvious!

PS - I don't have TweakUI either...

Start/Settings/Taskbar & Start Menu/Start Menu/Customize / Use persolized menus .

Jsitke,

you should have TweakUI installed, many great options in there ! BTW, it's just the same in WinXP as in Win2k, least used entries in start menu are hidden by default!

I think XP powertoys -TweakUI- do this fairly well. Look at this screenshot (don't be surprised for French entries ;) ).
Does it answer your request ? I do hope so !

Cosmin, I have opened the menu/screen as you described, but still no option to hide incative start menu items.

Daemon, I do not own a copy of TweakUI and will not be getting a copy anytime soon. Thanks anyway!

you dont need to 'buy' tweakUI jstike.. its available for FREE from MS here, along with the rest of the xp powertoys.. ;)

Jsitke,

o_87 is right, it's free and included in XP PowerToys ! DL 'em and enjoy, this simple !

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
