Booked to go to Las Vegas in Feb next year for our 18th wedding anniversary :D :D
I'm all excited and can't bloody wait, dreading the flight from Teesside to Heathrow,to Chicago then on to Vegas and coming home we go from Vegas to San Fransisco,to Heathrow back to Teesside, but as they say "No pain,No Gain"
Gotta start saving for spending money now.

Marge - you will love Vegas - especially since you don't gamble.

You have got to get to Hoover Dam (take the tour) - it is a once in a life time experience that too many people miss because all they want to do is gamble!

The shows (obviously) are awesome and there is one casino (trying to think of the name) Treasure Bay or Pirate Cove or something - based on Pirates (AKA Mubbers) and they have a battle across the water right in front of the casino and it is awesome at night!

Girl you are going to love it! Oh BTW in Feb there will be lots and lots of snow on Mt Charlie to go skiing - if you so desire!!!

Are you talking about the show with the pirate ship and the British vessel...the one with the explosions and stuff? That was really great, huh?
The name of the hotel is Treasure Island, by the way. [IMG]

I lived in Vegas for a month. I went all over the place. Treasure Island is incredible, they had really good nachos at the excalibur (the castle casino) and the luxor was fantastic. it's the pyramid shaped one. the light on the top of it used to be so bright, that the space shuttle could see it, you could see the light reflect off of the moon, and the FAA and air force had them turn it down becasue the pilots had trouble landing there.

you have to hit the seafood buffet at the Rio, totally top-notch. The Bellagio has top-notch dining as well, after that is a plethora of very good food and fine dining, along with the usual touristy places, Hard Rock,The Caesar Plaza and others. At the Rio, my wife ate her weight in lobster tails. Truly the first time it was worth it to take her to a buffet. :)
