heroes iv crashes to desktop in xp A LOT

I can play heroes IV and it will crash to the desktop about 5 times in a hour. Usually no error messages. I can go right back in and continue from autosave but about 1 time in 4 it will give me a bad save file message when loading the save game. If i reboot the computer the save will run fine. Does anyone have any ideas.

no clue really since there is no error message. try changing the compatibility mode though. switch it to win98 and see if you get the same problems.
