my computer will just shut down and restart for no reason when it boots back up it starts by checkinf hard disk "e" then "c" any body any ideas

Go to System Properties - Advanced - Startup & Recovery Settings and UNcheck Automatically Restart. Next time you encounter an error you'll get a blue screen instead of a reboot. When that happens come back and tell us what that error is. My guess is it will be IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO. If so, you'll need to get current drivers for all your hw. Get them from the OEM web sites, NOT Windows Update.
