I will be re-formatting, so that i can have win 2000 and xp pro dual boot.

How can I set it up, so that both O/S share the same program files? Is there a way to do this? I dont want ot have to install programs for both O/S, using 2 times the disk space.

Any suggestions or help would be great

    Thanks

I have been dual and tri-booting for a number of years to date and there is no easy way to share programmes. If you're handy with the registry and are prepared for a little bit of work then you could install your progs into one OS then copy the relevent registry entries / .ini files across. This will work with most apps, BUT NOT ALL, some are very fussy.
I've come to the conclusion that it's just not worth the hassle!!

Got to agree with Gothic. Some I share, but most I just put in the operating system that I would use the program in the most. If I need it in both, it goes in both.
