A friend of mine is telling me when he selects a file to delete, it deletes but also makes a copy. He is running Norton 2004 with the latest updates and its not catching anything.

sounds like finger trouble to me! j/k I'm sure it's not that - but when it's a "friend" (IE 2nd hand account) you never can tell.

like sraycoz asks - is this a particular file? If so could be system needs it or an app does and it is instantly replaced/rebuilt.... if all files then, no, never seen that hapening before! Sounds weird....

He is telling me any file. I haven't looked at it yet.... so I really can't say it's happening.

Makes a copy where? Might be "Norton Protected Recycle Bin" he is talking about.

He said if he is in "Windows Explorer" and tries to delete any file and just makes a copy of that file.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
