There is a way on a copied and blacklisted version of XP to install SP1, I know because i've found a way to do it. Although I own a fully liscensed copy of XP, I got curious, but think again if I'm posting the way to do it here, because:

1) Against forum guidelines
2) If you want SP1, go buy XP

i dont think its against forum guidelines...
if you mean changing the WinXP key by deleting the reg key and putting in a new one, it was on the front page of http://www.xp-erience.org a while back. i saved it as an mht file at the time cuz it might be useful sometime in the future.

oh yeah and by the way, I got spam advertising the SP1 and a bunch of other stuff. listen to this:

WIN XP $35
SP1 $25
OFFICE XP $50

Now that's $60 for XP, better to put another $30 and buy the full legal copy isn't it?

Where do you get xp for $100 ? not here in Canada thats for sure

I'm not trying to preach here... , but what about SP2, if it ever comes out it'll cost ya another $15 or $25, wouldn't it? If you put another $30 you get the legal copy and the SP1 and whatever comes after that is free. You may end up paying a few more bucks....but it'll still be a reasonable deal....and a legal one
I think a good warez copy should cost about $10 and the SP1 etc $5 to be worth the risks. what do you think?

I got XP PRO(OEM) from www.buycheapsoftware.com, they are the best XP home costs $93.

yes buy your XPpro or Home edition of course and if you get it for $100 US? great here in Canada its not $100 Can trust me so yes buy it whatever my point was why the hell would you pay for SP1 or 2 or 3 or SP6700 ???????

no KERMIT, SP1 won't install on a warez copy of win xp(at least with "devil's own" key). you will need something to tweak win xp and be able to install the SP1. Do your homwork and read a couple of this threads.

Well because I can read and seen all the answers posted in this forum it is easy as pie to install sp1 all you need to do is use a key made from the keygen and follow the guidelines that were posted on this site and install your xp doing a repair using the new key and after that sp1 installs fine , after that now that 99.9% of the people who did do their homework are allready on xpsp1 all they are waiting to see is when m$ makes changes to windows update what will happen with the keys made by the keygen , so I guess now you can see that I did my homework and got an A+
