Half Life 2 Register

Okay i have my key for Half Life 2. I have NO CLUE where i can register it on Steam. I right click on Half life 2 it comes up as Purchase and update news. In purchase i only get the packages where i can buy HL2 but no where that i can register my key! Does anyone kno where i can register my HL2 Key on steam!?

I think if you browse through the packages there should be a little button in the bottom left saying "Register a product I already own" or something. Just click that.
