Had Win2k now Have XP

I had Win2k installed previously.
Today I booted off my XP Pro cd and installed XP.
I deleted all partitions from within the XP setup and formatted as NTFS, then installed the OS.

Everything is fine except now when I boot the Win2k boot loader comes up and I have to select from my choice of booting XP or Win2k (even though Win2k is no longer on the system).

How do I get rid of this stupid boot issue and just have it boot into XP?

Thanks!!!

Find the file boot.ini (Hidden file) in your root directory (C:\)and delete the entry for Windows 2000. Then save it and reboot.
Easy as that :)

FORMAT

:D Should have formated your c:%drive so there was no trace of
another os.
XP is a very clever os!!

Do A CLEAN INSTALL THEN EVERY THIG SHOULD BE FINE;)

Get rid of the old os alltogether!!:D

Not unless you want a dual boot sys?
 But why upgrade?

A format is unnecessary just to get rid of the W2K option in the boot menu.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
