GTA vice city problems

When I install this game it wont let me play it. I would double click on the icon and nothing happens. This is the real version I got from EBgames. This is a brand new computer with a fresh install of XP. what could be going wrong?

If the game wont start. I found it MAY be a problem switching resolutions. So if your game doesnt start I would recomend setting your desktop to 800x600 and 16 bit color. the games default resolution and color. and it will start up. Well, it did for me. and I changed the resolution in the game and no more problems.

ah good info...

haven't heard of that as a known issue wth gta : vc... but will help in trouble shooting... congrats for fixing your problem...
