Google Maps Beta With Satellite Imaging

TerraServer deffinitely gets closer than the Keyhole powered Google.

Did a test of Candlestick Park and... ooooh yeah.

Google gets the edge though as it's in color and makes details a bit easier to see. :)
Look at the post above yours. Are you sure you're on the right site? ;)

Terraserver must hate me or something. 1) I don't see it in color 2) same zoom as google. :(

How odd. :p Well, whatever works best for you...
Yeah very odd. It's b&w in both Mozilla and I double check w/ Safari and it's b&w in Safari also. :(

I have noticed that some times they are color and sometimes b&w. Now remember that the Sat images are dated (as in old). The test I did in my area with Candlestick Park in one (goggle) it shows a game going on. That would make it a Sunday and in the months of September to December. And in the other (TerraServer) the stadium was empty, but the shadows did not jive with the time of day I looked them up. Be nice to get live feeds. Only military get that. :(

But it's still fun ta play with. :D

Yeah live feeds would be cool, but would take a crazy amount of sattelites. :p

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
