Hey all. I have a question on a video card.
It's a GeForce FX 5200, PCI, 128MB DDR. The reason why I want to buy PCI is because I have an old Celeron 1.10GHZ, 512MB of ram and no AGP slot. I plan to upgrade, but i want to upgrade the mobo, cpu and im going to need new RAM as well and i don't have the money right now.
I currently have a GeForce 4 MX420 and is good but in UT2003, i have that video lag thing happening on some maps.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Ps: Here's a link to the card.

Chances probably are that your CPU is the biggest bottleneck. Put your money towards a new mobo, etc, then get the 5200 AGP.

I see.:(

But, if i buy the pci fx without upgrading the cpu and mobo, will i gain extra frame rate on games or would it be pretty much the same?

there is little difference between your current card and the fx5200... it is possible you probably get better performance with your current card than you will with teh fx5200...

consider changing other parts of your computer rather than buying essentially the same performance with a small increase...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
