Hi all: Little off topic but I want to setup a server and be able to share the tons of software that I have back to the community and also have a place where people can 'upload' things to me.

How do I do this?? A friend recomended a program called G7 for this but I thought I'd ask the experts here.

I do have a spare server just sitting around collecting dust, so I could use this. It runs Server 2K pro. I also have Cable internet access, about 800 kbps.

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

    Isn't it G6? That's what I would recommend anyway.

I hope those "tons of software" of yours are legal.

bulletproof your supposed to pay for. if your looking for a free FTP server, I recommend Cesar FTP. I am not for sure how secure it is, but it is very easy to use and configure.
