Front case USB Connention?

Hello, I am thinking of buying a new case but I'm not quite fond about the new ones these days with the USB front inputs... Well, what I was wondering is where do those get connected to?

there are pins on your motherboard (USB header) that these connect to. Ive also seen a case that basically plugs into the ports on the back.

Hmm, I have a pretty new motherboard but I don't think I've seen them on there.

Most motherboards have them, they dont look like a usb port, just pins.

Make sure you have it hooked up right, I ruined my keyboard the other day after making that mistake *shakes fist*
