FreeBSD x64 - is everything compiled as x64

this may seem like a strange question, but after looking over the interwebnet, some places have said that not all the ports that you build on that arch are truely 64bit, due to the code in a lot of the apps not being changed to be fully 64bit.

Are they correct or just misinformed ?
