FRAPS and Adobe Premiere 6

I have made some cool in game clips of DB1942:DC.. FRAPS is set at 20fps continuous (bearable)..

when I open the file in Premiere, make my edits, it outputs a tiny file with a black background.. the original (by fraps) opens fine in the source monitor and program windows, but it shows up as a series of black frames in the timeline..

any idea why this is happening?

any other video editors someone can recommend for gaming footage?

also, what program can you use to capture audio since fraps is video cap only?

the best way i found is to use the video and audio outputs to a video edinting pc or VCR and get waht i need from that, but that is not ideal. umm other than premiere, final cut pro pc version, pinical studio nad windows movie maker, and yea thoes are all i can think of

oh yea, the audio, get a 1/8 cable and just go from speaker output to mic and get a sound recorder prog, google that one

thx for the help.. I found a converter for avi to mpg.. the mpg comes out fine in WMP9 but when I try to playback the source file it is very choppy and laggy.. it outputs that way to file..

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
