What is the command to show frames/sec in Counter-Strike? I've heard that the counter actually reduces your fps but i still want to know how to turn it on.

It's "net_graph 1". By the way, there's a very small program called Fraps that will do it without lagging you.

cl_showfps 1 also works quite nicely... just for fps... instead of all the other garbage..

to turn off... same thing except replace the 1 with a 0...

this shows just raw fps... much like fraps... but is a built in console operated feature in cs...

AFAIK this does not really affect frame rates...

yeah thanks all. the net_graph 1 is the one i wanted. ive seen on some screenshots that you can move the graph from the right to the centre, which is much better cause it doesnt hide all the $ / ammo etc. anyone know how?

    thanks for the tips guys

I think the others are net_graph 2 and net_graph 3 for different positions.

To change the position of the net_graph command:

    net_graphpos 1 (Default, bottom right-hand corner)
net_graphpos 2 (Bottom, center of screen)
    net_graphpos 3 (Bottom left-hand corner)

    Hope this solves the problem

it worked, thanks for that violator. net_graph 1, 2 & 3 all just are displayed differently. i use 3 where there is only text and no graphs/lines whatever.
