Format And Install Help!!!

need some help formatin n installin a cpu
got the win 98 cd
but do i need a win 98 boot disk to format the drive?
or can i do it with just the cd only?..could someone help me out gotta format this cpu real quick..thanks in advance..

if your CD is bootable (i believe most 98 CDs aren't) then you can just use the CD. if that's not the case, you need a 98 boot floppy ( http://www.bootdisk.com ) from which you can run setup on the CD after using format C:
