It's a good bet that it's dead. Until you can test another drive, avoid putting any really important floppies in the drive - a bad drive will eat floppies all day long... I'd hate to see you lose something important.
yea im guessing its dead too. my bios or whatever wont eve detect it, i have to manually go into the bios and say i have a 1.44 floppy drive. thank god theyre cheap drives.
