its defaulting to "F:" which is fine with me, but when i goto "My Computer" its not showing up as an icon.. anyone know what i can do to have it show up?

edit: also, i tried formatting to NTFS file system, but it will only format to Fat, not even Fat16, or Fat32.. how would i direct it to formatting to the NTFS file system?

in command prompt i did fdisk f:, format f:, and convert, but it says i cannot convert this current drive.. any way around this?

First off why do you want to convert a drive that small to NTFS? As far as it not showing up did you try restarting?

My favorite self-induced problem [because I once spent 6 hours trying to figure it out]. Did you use TweakUi to hide drives in Explorer?

good call j79zlr, solved me right up! thanks!

lol, you'd be surprised how many times that is the solution to similar problems :)

also wouldn't such a drive have a program to format and such on manufactors site?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
