Microsoft KBA suggest two ways of reinstalling and repairing IE 6: a) reinstall Win XP b) reinstall IE 6 by downloading from the internet.
Can I reinstall it from Win XP cd without reinstall Win XP or downloading it from the internet ? Any suggestions ?

    1) Insert the Win XP CD

    2) win key+r...paste:
    rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 c:\windows\inf\ie.inf

    ENTER

Note Internet Explorer 6 SP1 is included with Windows XP SP1. If Windows XP SP1 is installed on your computer, you do not need to download and install Internet Explorer 6 SP1.
