[FIXED]Request for windows media player 10 file

yup thats the thing..

installing the gant 2 ocean set appears to have fubared my wmp setup...

I can't install 9... I can't rollback to 9... I can't run 10 coz of some internal error (thats the error message... very descriptive ) and I can't uninstall anything properly...

short of re-formatting i am stumped... am trying out different things right now... thankfully i have a rather excellent ati media player but I don't plan to use it long term..

I have posted this before, to remove media player, 10 or 9, not sure about lower versions and then reinstall it cleanly, try below, works for me.

Goto Start -> Run & Enter the following:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\windows\inf\wmp.inf,Uninstall
This rolls Media Player back to its original install state. Media Player 9 may then be downloaded from:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/8/a/2/8a27acce-5c9e-46b3-8996-1e76c0413d17/MPSetupXP.exe
