FAT32 vs NTFS

by the way -
if your windows xp crashes w/FAT32 so that scandisk insists on checking your hard drives for errors on restart, time how long it takes. if capacity is 40-80 gigabyes (sometimes X two for two drives), it seems as if it takes forever. not so with NTFS and its journalling system (similar to Linux Reiser). it's ready to go with no perceivable delay.

takes less than a minute on my FAT32
chkdsk is miles quicker than scan disk regardless of filing system
;)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
