I installed an evaluation copy of Windows XP on my PC back in April and it's 4 month expiration is almost up (yikes!) 2 things for you guys, I can reinstall XP PRO on top of the eval but, will it remember all the files and settings I had customized? Or will I have to start from scratch?

or...psssst, come here around the corner I want to ask you something..>>>>>Can Evals be uh, un expired (hint, hint) and work as a working licensed copy?

Email me privately regarding the last question if you got clues.

I suggest doing a clean install of a LICENSED version of XP Pro. Make backups. format your hard drive, and install XP Pro again.

I kind of wanted to be lazy and avoid that oh well...

Do the required backup and try to do an upgrade installation... see what happens. If it works, cool... if not, oh well.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
