ESET NOD32 3.0 update issues (trial version)

have decided to give this a go as avg is pissing me off blocking, exes and stuff i know is clean, so trying the trial version of eset nod - but it wont let me update the anti virus db.

Anyone got any idears

You may also want to check out the eset wilder security forums, http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15, that tends to be the place to go for problems with ESET products. I have seen a few posts with issues similar to yours but most of them have to do with paid username/passwords not working, although if you continue to have this issue after re-installing they may be able to help.

As a side note if you are using NOD32 Anti-virus version 3, as opposed to the Security Suite, and use a software firewall you may want to check out this thread - http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=192305

thanks - no i dont use a fw as i have a router

edit: the re-install option fixed it
