ehome bug cannot remove

Hey all,

I got this gateway laptop. It has a nasty bug in it. Popups everywhere.

Spybot ain't working on it. Can't see anything out of the ordinary in Highjackthis.

It creates a directory in the C:/Windows called "Ehome" all the time. there is a bigger problem somewhere cause when I delete this folder in safe mode it comes back again,

What other steps can I take with this?

I would not delete that directory (Ehome) its the Media Center directory.

I have tried to remove the ehome directory before, and it just gets recreated when the popups restart.

That is where they are hiding, the trojans, among other places.

I will post a Highjackthis log after.

Are you sure it's spyware? The ehome directory is part of Windows Media Center.
