Editing a post in EventID 8193 & 4609 in conjunction with each other

Hey guys,

I have been having this issue since as far as I can remember. I am getting these two errors in my application log (Windows XP SP2) constantly. I don't think they pose a real problem, however it's still annoying to have them there.

I have searched information on EventID.net, but haven't really found anything in regards to that. Here are the following errors:

Source: VSS
EventID: 8193
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x80040206.

Immediately after it;

Source: EventSystem
EventID: 4609
The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 80070422 from line 44 of d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

Now does anyone else have information in regards to why I am getting these two error messages?

Just over half way down the page is the same event error you get “The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing”. I would recommend reading the whole page for sure. Microsoft
