dvi-i and dvi-d connector

do a dvi-i and a dvi-d connector can fit in into each other ? I made a mistake of buying a 19' monitor witha dvi-d connector but my vid card came with a dvi-i connector.I don't want the trouble of finding such 'difficult to find' cables.Can it go into each ends..??

i think all it means is male and female, but im not sure, so basically that means when u connect the d connector from ur monitor it will only go into an i from ur graphics card if im wrong someone correct me plz

DVI-D is only the digital signal, DVI-I is both the digital and an anologue signal and DVI-A is only the analogue signal (which sort of defeats the purpose of DVI alltogether, but anyway). A DVI-D cable will fit your DVI-I card.
