Download Managers

Interested to know if people have stopped using them for small files when they have speeds of 50kb's+

I have had getright since v1 and it was handy for files over 2 megs on 20k-50k.

Now I am downloading larger files quicker over 20 meg most of em i was just wondering if the market for such download managers would fade out when 1 day 1 gig connections will be the entry for internet connections.

I used get right to download a fake service pack, thats all, everything else just hit up arrow or save as to desktop.

Just wondered if ne1 else has come to same conclusions.

I use FreshDownload ONLY when downloading Linux ISOs, nothing else.
The connection is just too fast to bother using a download manager/accelerator for small files.

I use Flashget for large downloads, but I agree. No point fiddling about with it for the smaller downloads.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
