When I first drag down a URL from the Address window to the Links bar, it is often accompanied by a little icon representing the web site.

Some of these remain, but many revert to the default IE icon.

    Any idea why?

    Thanks,

you need a third party app to hang on to those icons

it's called favorg, it's free, but pc mag used to host it, and they don't anymore

I don't know where to get it now, but try google

WOW, this freeware rocks! Can't believe I never came across it before! Since we're on the subject of links, URLBase is also quite useful.
