Ok for a long time i was having extremely high temps on my cpu...i dont use anything special just the standard boxed AMD heatsink and fan...but today i cleaned it off..the fins on the heatsink fan are sooooo close togethor that it had actually created an entire layer of dust so now air was getting to it..so just a heads up for anyone who has one of these.

vaccum power lol (or air compression)

  3. You could use a shim. They're not to keep air out, but it would greatly decrease the open space.

You might want to consider some high quality thermal paste also. Arctic 3 is a good product.
