    Hello forum !

What can cause one machine to boot XP PRO much faster then another one?
    I previously had a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 (PIII 800, 256 Mb)
which took 15 seconds to boot XP, now I have a DELL Lattitude C610 (PIII 1200, 512 Mb). This one takes more then 30 seconds to boot !!! Windows 200 boots are equally fast (slow...)
Looks like all drivers are allright, so I'm a bit in the dark what can cause this! Any ideas are welcome!

    greetings and thanks!

    Conrad

try running the bootvis tool...any number of things can make boot time different...mobo, HD initialization times, yadda yadda yadda
