Defrag

Well, i downloaded it and installed it. gonna wait till i go to bed to defrag my comp. And i never said i wouldn't like the program itself, just don't like that it's trialware.

I use diskeeper (full version) and have it set on 'set it and forget it', so it decides when to defrag my hard drive, while I am still using it, with minimal loss of speed

So how are you determining that Diskeeper is actually doing anything - other than just running :)

Disclaimer: I work for Raxco Software, the maker of PerfectDisk - a commercial defrag utility, as a systems engineer in the support department.

I've tried Speed Disk with my SystemWorks 2k3 and I've tried O&O defrag, diskkeeper 7, and Perfect Disk.

PERFECT DISK 5.0 is the best!! It takes less time and compacts files more effectively. I defrag at least once a day. And I usually run it through twice. My suggestion to Perfect Disk (GHayes) would be to have an option to defrag more then one time through, or make the first "swipe" more effective.. Any of you other guys defrag more then once to tighten up your files..??
