Curious about slipstreaming

I havent noticed this question so Ill ask. If you slipstream xp to sp1, then reinstall you will have the updated (xp1) version on your drive. Now if in the future, you decide you wanted to add service pack 2, how would the update recognize that sp1 exits, if there is no installation history of it. Will this cause any future problems?

Thanks,
Circuit

It is updated to SP1. (I've only done a fresh install) Windows is now recognised as SP1 so there will be no problem upgrading again.

Went like a breeze. First thing I looked at when back at windows was the version. Woo hoo. :D

Yes, a slipstream and fresh install didn't cause any problems at all.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
