What's with the f**king servers these days. I tried joining the public servers recently and 90% of them say I cannot join because it's for LAN (class C) connections only.

What the hell!!!

I think it's the 14-year-old server admins with rich partents that like having their own way.

It might have to do w/ CS 1.6 just came out but I'm not sure.

well 1.5 still works for now, bbut most servers are moving over to 1.6

can't be! these are public servers running cs1.5.
there's no notice on their website saying that they're switching.
they're still using the same ip as far as i know.

ye i get that probablem aswell. im pretty sure u cant join them, because they have upgraded to1.6, you can only connect to those through steam

THis is the problem.... and i am 100 percent correct.

The server has switched over to Counter-Strike 1.6 , thats why it says lan only.

big fun *non glitchy* steam... you gotta love it when the only way you can play your favorite servers is to install a crazy crashing program

(I pray that soon this will be remedied...)
