Wait until 1.6, it cures alot of minor glitches such as this.
Should be released on steam, we will post it on the frontpage when it is released!

when you get the familiar 'warning: connection problem' in the upper right hand corner of your screen, it's usually attributed to either heavy internet traffic, lost packets or problems with the server you're connected to.

do you have dial-up? if so, look into getting broadband. it doesn't happen very often if you have more bandwidth.

no patch will solve this problem.

try visiting this place. run some of the tests under the tools section.

you may be losing packets due to incorrect rwin and mtu settings.

it could also be that server. maybe your 'puter takes too many hops to get there.

try finding another cs server to play on.

my internet would always lose connection after 5 minutes of cs. And my modem with make a loud "PING". So I called the cable company, they gave me a brand new modem, new spliter, new cables, removed alot of corrosion from the street, and wanted to give me an ethernet card.

    and now it works great.

    WICKED.

I suggest you call your ISP, but if your brother is hooked up to the same internet connection it sounds like your screwed.
