creating a raid array

  1. i have 2x 40gb seagate 133 drives and want to create an 80 gb single drive ,, should both drives be a master on same channel, 1master,1 slave on same channel ,masters on opposing channels,,,,,, help? i have an add on card which is a silicon image medley 133 raid card any input would be greatly app

    Two masters on the same channel will never work.

    Two masters on separate channels is best, but master+slave on one channel works very well too, and saves on cable.

    The type of RAID array you want is RAID 0.
