jsut put together my new system with a XP 1900, Gigabyte GA-7vrxp, 512MB PC2700 DDR, MSI GF3-TI200 w/ 128MB ram. there's just one thing buggin me. When i put the computer on standby, the cpu fan (volcano 7) and case fan stay on. The spu fan slows down a tiny bit, but its still spinning very fast and the case fan slows down a lot. I looked in the bios, but i couldnt find anything. can anyone help me out? the mobo uses Award BIOS

nm...me thinks i solved my own problem.

apparently there are two satates of standby that the mobo supports. s1 and s3. s3 turns off the fans. would have been nice if they included this in the manual. oh well

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
